2019 will mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the man who led India in its fight for freedom. Born on 2nd October 1869, Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, dedicated his whole life towards fighting for equality and freedom. He was a one-man-army who began a conscious search for non-violent possibilities to deal with a number of major national and international issues. His benevolent ways and persistence consequently changed the course of Indian as well as world history since he became an inspiration to many world leaders and freedom fighters including – Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Daisaku Ikeda and Petra Kelly.
