Ayurveda is known to have a long heritage of healing and is a well renowned practise globally. Ayurveda focuses on creating energetic balance at the higher energetic or internal level. And so, Ayurvedic treatment treats patients as a ‘ whole’, ie, a combination of the body, mind and soul. It is regarded more as a way of life rather than a system of medicine. Ayurveda is not only a healthcare system to cure disease but its system reveals how to achieve ‘Perfect Health’ from abnormal conditions and to lead a more enriching life. This eventually leads the physical, mental and spiritual states to attain the bliss of real life. Ayurveda is known for its guidance in creating and maintaining a perfect balance of Mind, Body & Soul with the 5 Primordial Elements of Nature.

Amrita Ayurvedic Centre holds the following yoga classes at their premises: Hatha yoga, Power Yoga, Therapy yoga, Kids yoga, Personal yoga. They have separate classes for the beginners, intermediate and advanced categories. Amrita Ayurvedic Centre also holds meditation classes.

Yoga is a general term for the Mental, Physical, and Spiritual practices which originated in ancient India with an aim to attain a state of everlasting peace. Yoga is a Sanskrit word which means “UNION” and is interpreted as “union  with  the  divine”. One of the most detailed and thorough expositions on the subject are the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, which defines yoga as “the stilling of the changing states of the mind”. Yoga is also interpreted as the yoke that connects beings to the machine of existence.
